Having spoken of our election in Christ before the foundation of the world (1:4-6) and of the redemption we have in Christ (1:7-10), Paul now speaks (1:11-14) of the inheritance we have in Christ. All of this helps to unfold the thought begun in Verse 3 of Chapter 1 where Paul praises God because he has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing in heavenly places.
