In the first 14 verses of Ephesians Chapter 1, Paul praises God that his readers have been given every spiritual blessing in heavenly places. Then, starting in verse 15 and continuing to the end of Chapter 1, he asks God to give them spiritual blessings — not more of the same, but a spirit of wisdom and revelation so that they could know God and the greatness of the inheritance already, and eternally, prepared for them in Christ.
