Here at the beginning of Luke Chapter 6, the clash between Jesus and religious leaders becomes clear. Jesus comes to everyone, unlike religious leaders who prefer to associate with the righteous. The religious leaders believe respecting the Sabbath is more important than helping people, whereas Jesus puts people first. Indeed only Jesus can actually do anything for the people. This makes the religious leaders very angry.
