In recounting Jesus’ Galilean ministry. Luke began with the story of Jesus rejection in Nazareth. Here at the beginning of Jesus’ journey from Galilee to Jerusalem, Luke recalls Jesus rejection in a village of the Samaritans. When Jesus finally arrives in Jerusalem, he will be violently rejected on the cross. Luke seems to structure his gospel to emphasize how the Son of God was rejected by all whom he came to save!
