While speaking of important matters of eternal consequence, Jesus is interrupted by a man who asks for his help in resolving an inheritance issue. Jesus has no interest in addressing that issue. Instead he warns against every kind of greed and then uses The Parable of the Rich Fool to teach his disciples that they are neither to accumulate material possessions nor worry about not having the necessities of life.
