Chapters 13 and 14 of Leviticus all have to do with visible imperfections on the surfaces of things: human skin lesions and mold and mildew on clothing and in houses. When were such things considered to be unclean and disqualifying for entering into holy places? How could that which was unclean be declared clean again? It was originally intended that this evening’s class would cover Chapter 13. However we did not even begin reading Chapter 13, due to the time we spent laying out the context for this reading.
