The last reading in Chapter 7, Luke tells of the time that Jesus was invited to a meal at the house of a Pharisee, where a woman anointed Jesus feet with ointment. The condemnation of this woman by the Pharisee gave Jesus a chance to teach, using “The Parable of the Two Debtors.” This is one of those Bible passages where it it difficult to be certain that we have read and understood it fully.
