Having seen and heard all that Jesus did in Galilee, everyone was still confused about who Jesus was, but Peter, probably speaking on behalf of himself and some of the other disciples, declared that Jesus was the Christ of God. Jesus told them rather strongly that it was not yet time to reveal that information to others, however Jesus did proceed to explain to his disciples in greater detail what was to come.
