In this lesson we finish discussing the beatitudes and the woes with which Luke begins his account of the Sermon on the Plain. If I have understood this correctly, Jesus is telling his disciples that because they are his disciples, they are blessed, even though the world does not see them that way and, conversely, those who do not follow Jesus are cursed even though the world sees them as blessed.
