Following his confrontation with the ruler of the synagogue, in connection with his healing of a woman on the Sabbath, Jesus asks and proceeds to answer the question: “what is the kingdom of God like?” He then deflects the question of how may shall be saved, preferring instead to urge everyone to enter by the narrow door — while it is still open!
